Warren School District Gifted and Talented: The Elementary Chess Team recently competed in the Southeast Invitational Chess Tournament. 80 students from area schools competed. Cody Weatherspoon, a 5th grader at Brunson New Vision Charter School, ranked 7th out of the 80 competitors, only losing one match. Other honorable mentions are Jeduthan Wallace, 4th grade, and Jayden Poole, 5th grade, who ranked in the top 25. Overall, the team performed very well.
