Warren Middle School students are offered breakfast each day at 7:30 and 9:00. The 2nd chance breakfast opportunity is under the umbrella of the Breakfast in the Classroom Initiative. The Breakfast in the Classroom initiative takes the traditional school breakfast approach and improves it with one key ingredient: the classroom. Breakfast becomes available to everyone – no matter the income level – and it’s eaten after the opening bell. This makes it possible for all children to participate. Since implementing 2nd chance breakfast this year, the number of students eating breakfast has increased from an average of 70 students to 315 students each day.
