( Hippy ) gathered Tuesday, May 2nd at Eastside School to enjoy a hamburger cookout provided by Union Bank and Trust Company. The event was held to celebrate the successful completion of the current school year.
The program served 85 kids during the year. Staff members Wanda Rhodes, Shanikue Rhodes and Susan Castleberry were present. Randy Rawls and Patricia Wilkerson of Union Bank provided the food. Murphie Wilkerson was also present to take part.
The Hippy program was started in Israel a number of years ago and has been very successful in the United States as a way of helping get preschool youngsters started in the right direction educationally.
