Senator Boozman Provides New Flag for Local School

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) recently launched an initiative to provide Arkansas schools with an American flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol.
These flags come with a certificate indicating that it was flown over the Capitol in honor of each participating school.
Brunson New Vision Charter School in Warren is the recipient of one of the flags. The school received its new flag on Monday, August 22.
“I’m honored to be able to provide Brunson New Vision Charter School with a new American flag to fly on its campus or proudly display. It is especially exciting to share this flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.,” Boozman said. “I hope the students, staff and community at Brunson New Vision Charter School enjoy their new flag and never fail to appreciate what it stands for and the men and women who have risked their lives to defend it.”
Sen. Boozman’s staff also presents a program to elementary students around the state about the importance of the American and Arkansas flags and what the symbols on these patriotic emblems represent. During the 2014-2015 school year, Boozman's staff made this presentation in more than 50 classrooms around the state.
