GFWC WWC Announces Local Winners from Hermitage and Warren in10-Penny Art Contest

The GFWC Warren Woman's Club held its 10-Penny Art Contest recently in the Hermitage High School.  The students were under the instruction of art teacher, Libby Stracner.

Winners in the Class 1 (Grades 9-10) Multi-medium were:
Kayla Pruitt, "Alice and the Wonderland, first place
Marley Robinson, "Sugar Skull", second place

Winner in Class 1 Pencil Drawing was Lexy Grice, "In the Distance", first place

Winner in Class 1 Watercolor was Lexy Grice, "Windy Blue and Gold", first place

Winners in the Class 11 (Grades 11-12) Multi-medium were:
Carlos Navarro, Arachnophobia", first place
Caitlin Russell, "The Tree of Color", second place
Ariel Belin, "Pie in the Sky", third place

Class 11 Watercolor:
Brandon Oelsen "Sunset in the Marsh" first place

Class 11 Pencil:
Austin Howsen, "Too Much of a Bat Thing", first place

The 10-Penny Contest Results from Warren High School where Ms. Laura McKinney is the art instructor were:

Class 1 Multi-medium - Marcelino Castillo, "The Blue Bird", first place

Class 1 Pencil Drawing -Marcelino Castillo, "The Lion and the Lamb", first place

Class 1 Watercolor (not pictured), Jessica Martinez, "Missing You", first place

Each art piece was taken to be judged in the District 10-Penny Art Contest in Fordyce.
