The GFWC District 8 of Arkansas recently held its 10-Penny Art Contest. The Bradley County students were in competition with other schools in the district. The winners from Bradley County were: Class 1 (Grades 9-10), Multi-Medium, Kayla Pruitt, "Alice and the Wonderland", first place. Class 11 (grades 11-12) Multi-medium, Carlos Navarro, "Arachnophobia", first place; Caitlin Russell, "The Tree of Color", second place; and Ariel Belin, "Pie in the Sky", third place. Each of these students were under the direction of Hermitage art teacher, Libby Stracner. The first place winning art pieces are to be judged in the state 10-Penny Art Contest.
